If OoT were on the DS
#16
As much as I like OoT, I don't want it for the DS. Unless Nintendo restricted the camera to a fixed point, it's going to be annoying controlling the camera while you're moving Link along. Also the underwater sequences would be twice as annoying because of said controls and camera. If Nintendo tried bringing Ocarina of Time to the DS, they'd have to cut out all the underwater stuff from the game.

Dunno why they didn't release them to the public.

Nintendo probably figured that it was way too flawed to be released and just chose to drop it entirely

Nah, it's a more of a dungeon crawler with puzzle chunklets than anything else.

As for a port to the DS, you'd be controlling a character in 3D using a digital D-pad. That alone is reason enough not to do it.

nintendo should remake more 64 games to the DS or make more 3D games to the DS >:
at first nintendo ds was like HOLY SHIT IT'S LIKE A PORTABLE NINTENDO 64 WITH A SECOND MAP SCREEN WHAT THE FUCK
then it became OH OKAY IT'S JUST A GAMEBOY ADVANCE WITH A TOUCH SCREEN

so much this
with nintendo being lazy and miyamoto out of ideas, all that's being released (for the wii too, not just the DS) is shovelware. :\

If I'm not mistaken, there are only three fully 3D first-party ds games:
SM64DS
PH
NSMB

correct?

And those puzzles are integrated into dungeons, much like those you'd see in a dungeon crawler.

On another note, it's a bit of a stretch to call New Super Mario Bros. a 3D game, don't you think, Vipershark?

And I think you forgot Metroid Prime Hunters.

NSMB is "2.5D"

It's 2.5D, but the game itself is entirely 3D.

Okay, a first-party nintendo game comprised mostly of 3D polygons.
edit- Tyvon beat me to it.

New Super Mario Bros uses pre-rendered 2D graphics. It's only 3D in the overworld.

when I said "3D" I also meant 3D gameplay
taking out racing games, the only games that actually have this are Rayman and SM64DS (and maybe Mario Party DS but idk never played it)
and that's pretty bad >:

Oh, and Metroid Prime Hunters. I forgot about that.
Edit- rokkan, pH is 3d too.

So that makes it
SM64DS
MPH
PH

Wow, only 3 fully 3D first-party games.
Way to be lazy, nintendo.
