groovy baby and i will be teaming up i suppose. i suggest others to do so : - ) i will still only allow 10 entrants, a team of 2 does not count as one contestant, still two.

rpg maker is the simplest thing in the world to use

itll take you literally less than an hour to be able to mostly use it.
and being one of the starters of this competition, nitram presumably knows how to use it.

I know how to work events and I can edit most ruby scripts to my liking.

I pretty much learned rmxp on the fly
I can't code at all, but I can do events and stuff just fine
on that note, I'm gonna try to use custom graphics, because my rpg is set in the future
hopefully I can get some good tilesets going

Just wondering, do any of you have a way to change an event's graphic mid-event?
Basically, I want it to do some stuff with no graphic and then change into a character.

Either that, or can I make it take control of the player?
edit- Played around with it a bit, I got it.

strangely enough, all I need are graphics
if you can replicate the rmxp sprite/tileset style, I can do the rest (except music but I suppose I can use the defaults)
