Zero Mission plays exactly like Super Metroid, grats

edit: in fact zero mission is literally just the original metroid with the super metroid engine and some boss redos and about 5% extra content

Quote:99% of people who go against the mainstream are either doing it to appear different, or are mislead by a previous personal bias.

So pretty much, yea.
HAHA LOOK AT ME IM GOING TO THROW OUT MADE-UP BULLSHIT PERCENTAGES. you are mr.debating expert.

Christ BaB, I thought you were smarter then that.

I like what I like, it's irrelevant to whatever anyone else likes (if they agree, cool, if not, whatever), it's as simple as that. I do not like Metroid Prime; most likely because I've never liked First Person Shooters very much. I did enjoy the first game somewhat despite that, but the fact of the matter is I find the 2D titles to be much more enjoyable. Mostly Super Metroid and the GBA metroids.

And I love how you imply that if the individual in question "personal bias" exists that that somehow validates the mainstreams opinion.

you're joking, right
The physics are completely and totally different, They don't even control the same. Trust me on this one I am uh
probably more acquainted with Super metroids physics then I should be
and i guess "new level with a bunch of stuff in it" counts as 5%??

then I guess I am in the 1% who is giving his honest opinion because I was honestly pretty excited for metroid prime and I found it was really boring as metroid did not translate into 3D very well!

but its ok bab you cant always be right

ps fuck off I wasn't even trying to incite rage, I didn't even think twice before posting "shitty" and honestly wasn't giving half a fuck about reactions I was just asking when the shit they are going to make classic metroid again because i enjoy classic metroid!!!!!! ok!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! u noob

yeah bear in mind metroid games are p. short so I guess 5% would cover that level

ok fine its more like 20% or

shut up i dont care

game engine =/= gameplay/how fun a game is/story/environment

and once again you're saying it wrong

You see the game engine is in fact what makes the game play, and seeing that the story and environment are coded within the engine and how much effort the developers put in, that results to how fun the player will find the game itself

and yes, Metroid Zero is pretty much Metroid 1 remade with a bunch of extra stuff in it. Just like Super Metroid was. Ravan is pretty straight on with that

well yes
but his statement of them sharing the same engine is pretty much wrong as far as I know

if they did, they changed the controls and physics dramatically

if the engine and the story are the same thing
yet zero mission use the same engine with a different story
um
yeah

also you have no idea what you're talking about
OOT and MM used the same engine and were (almost) nothing alike
which is the same case here

then why say that the game play is the same as the story?

in any case you also don't know what the fuck you're talking about ether
if anything it should be Game engine/gameplay/how fun the game is =/= story of the game/environment

Metroid zero is in fact a enchanced remake of the original, however, thus it isn't the same case as LOZ:MM, therefore:

Game engine has everything from the original with improved stuff

EDIT:and I think gizmo also made the best statement before I even posted this.

basically yeah
but still
what does the game engine have to do with me thinking the game is boring
I'm still trying to figure that out
