I think you're right, that is a good idea...

I also think that the colours are o.k. when you compare it to the roster. F. e. Mario's cap and Yoshi have relatively bright colours, too. But making a second palette afterwards isn't that much of a problem :]
I should make some of the outlines darker though...
But I think let's focus on the whole sprite first, changing colours may come later.
I tried to make his face a bit thinner, but I don't know if I'm doing it right. Just decide whether 1 of the new heads is better.

I like the newest one, aside form the colours.

Thanks for the comments.

- Head changed (nr. 2)
- Outlines darker (when you look at Mario's outlines at the legs, their nearly black)
Any better?

( I also played a bit with the colours, what you can see at the right side. Making the sprite good has more priority, but I'm liking the "new" blue and orange palette for now.)

I think Mario's palette got way messed up with the constant saving/resaving. I agree, the right Falcon is great.

Falcon looks a little young. Is it possible to put some wrinkles on his face?

Sorry for that bump D=

The holidays are finally starting at my school, so I decided to get back to work with Falcon. I redid the scarf a bit and gave him better colors (Yeah, looks like I learned something during that break). I'm quite content with the result.

Any suggestions/advice? If not, I would start with the idle animation.

Yes, the newest one looks great.

Didn't really like the head, so I redid it. Sorry for not asking permission...

Hope it's not too big.

Wow, that new head is much better, thanks =D The size is not different from the old head, so I guess it's alright.

Here's the WIP Idle animation. I'm mostly posting it because I want to know Falcon's movement is okay. Shading is about to change when his movement is good.

try and make it more of a smooth cycle rather than back and forth.

A great start!
