Animation Software

Sad
This seems like the best place to post this. I'm wanting to make a sprite based series for youtube, but I'm having trouble finding a good program that I can afford. Best I have right now is animating on pivot and adding sound on movie maker but that kind of sucks. Can any of you suggest a cheap or free software that I can use? All I need is something that can make the background of a sprite blend in with the video background, dynamic backgrounds, and lets me add sounds in program so I can have them start at the right point.

I think there isn't such program... yet.
Your best bet would be to use Flash or Sony Vegas, both of which are not free...

It doesn't need to be free, just cheap.

well...

in terms of flash...
*cough* torrent *cough*

or...
http://darkfunction.com/editor/

It's a little confusing, and I have found some bugs/limitation, but it's totally free!

can also export gifs, but...
gotta be careful with that option because of transparency

I sadly cannot find .png export option in it, but my version is probably behind the current release.

Overall, it does seem useful, perhaps a bit tricky, but i wouldn't say flash is too fun with complex animations/asset libraries and such, so...

Hope this is useful to you?
