PSP, CWcheat and texture ripping help!
#1
Exclamation
well iam a noob here so i want to make this quick.

a guy named "drakon" released a psp plugin that let's you rip 3d data from some games, and sometimes uv's, but not textures. I have seen people here ripping textures from megaman x 8, megama powered up using cwcheat with tile molester and similar stuff, but i don't really now how to use it, i really want to get stuff from mgs/god of war games

i if you want to experiment I give you from peace walker a 3d model and a dump that it's suposed to have the texture data

MGS: PW snake: (i know it is not in a neutral pose, besides snake there's nothing else on the frame)

Have you actually tried using Tile Molester yet? It's a long shot, though...
My only other idea would be an internal PSP program that can dump visual RAM? Does that even exist?

Try going strait for the UMD. If you press select at the XMB you should get a menu that looks like this:
CPU CLOCK XMB Default
CPU CLOCK GAME Default
USB DEVICE Memory Stick
UMD ISO MODE M33 Driver
XMB PLUGINS Enable
GAME PLUGINS Enable
POPS PLUGINS Enable
USB CHARGE Disable
HIDE MAC Enable
SKIP GAMEBOOT Enable
HIDE PIC Disable
FLASH PROTECT Enable
FAKE REGION Disabled
SHUTDOWN DEVICE
SUSPEND DEVICE
RESET DEVICE
RESET VSH
EXIT
Set USB device to UMD and hook it up to the computer normally. Then just use a program like mesh2rdm and/or GitMO to extract the textures that way.
PS: I don't think the gun's part of Snake's model.
