Zerox's Super Smash Bros Melee Rips

That whole intro was prerendered. The way higher poly than the Gamecube can actually support graphics should have clued you in a bit.

I thought maybe it was like the 64 version. I guess never noticed the difference in the quality till now.

Man that would be cool to get that Wolf model and examine it further but it's not in the game other than the intro vid which isn't actual 3D anymore.

The only chance you have is if by some miracle he's inside the Wolfen trophy which is highly unlikely since the window isn't even semi-transparent.

Otherwise this second and a half of the intro is all you'll ever see of it:

I noticed some of the ship trolphys ion brawl haveing litte 3d pilots...I could'nt zoom up any closer... what are the chances that the model is secretly hideing in a brawl model? probably not good.

If its in a Brawl model at all it'll probably be based on Brawl/Assault Wolf. Still, I like his design in Brawl a lot better than the straight up Fox recolor the SSBM intro gives us.

Read the readme.txt carefully.

Zerox, you're always full of surprises, aren't you? However, like ShadowTH said, the way Wolf looked in Brawl suits him much better than a mere recolor of Fox. Besides, the claws and biker-type outfit give us more of an impression that he's a loose-cannon rebel, which we all know that the too decent and too series Fox McCloud is not.

Still, it's good to have this model of Wolf for the sake of completion.

Lol, nice Zerox. If you don't mind, I'd rather not put that up because it really is just a recolor, but I'll admit it is funny how it looks close enough to the intro design to be convincing.

@E-man I think you missed the joke. He edited the Fox model, or really textures rather into that.

It's a texture and mesh edit. You could always throw it into Custom/Edited instead. I just felt like attempting to recreate it.

heh, wow, I never thought that I would inspire a model like this to be created.
even if it's not going up on the site, I love how it turned out...how did you remove the headgear? thats what is intreging me the most as of this moment. It's a shame that the intro video was prerendered, the 2 men in black during Ness' intro would be great models to mess with.

Well in truth I didn't quite remove the head gear entirely. I considered doing it and then making the back of his head (as it isn't there to begin with) from scratch. But instead I decided to remove any indents and smooth out the head gear. Then I shrank it to fit his head and then ReUV mapped it to a fur texture to blend in better. It was more a quick job than something I put my all into but it looks pretty decent anyway. The goal was to make it look like the intro video and I believe I can fairly close to spot on.

Whoops! My bad! It's just that the model was so convincing that I thought he actually ripped it from the cockpit of a trophy ship!

Don't feel bad that was the intended goal was to make it look convincing enough that it might of actually been from the game. But if you noticed it said to read the Readme carefully and in the Readme it flat out said it was an edit to Shadowth's rip.

Actually, I didn't even download the file, so all I had to work with was the image you posted, Zerox. Besides, I can't download every file I see, or else my computer would be slow due to all the files it has.

well the model looks great, an edit or not the creative construction behind each and every model shows the dedication of both the original creator of the mode, the person who ripped it, and the person transforming it into a new form.
I might see if i can darken the back of the head texture to match up with the rest of the head, this model will be great on MMD. who knows maybe i can reswap textures to make a helmetless Fox model. his feet looks like they are robo feet Big Grin
