These are incredible, well made all around. I wish I could do something remotely close to these.
Keep up the awesome work!

I have been trying to reupload this sheet for a while because Picoodle shrunk it and then decided it wasn't going to cooperate with me. <<;

Anyway, here is the sheet at its highest resolution. Enjoy.
Another tile set so soon? no wai.

This area is the alternate path to Castle Dracula. It completely avoids the fight against Rowdain the Skeleton Knight and allows you to meet Alucard earlier than you would had you gone through Jova Woods.
Had you gone through Jova Woods he will have at that time teamed up with Trevor and you will be unable to acquire him as an ally summon until much later in the game.

This area pays homage to these three stages:

Super Castlevania IV - Stage 3: Dreary Caverns - Sunken City
Castlevania III: Dracula's Curse - Alucard's Cave
and Castlevania: Circle of the Moon - The Catacombs

The water is going to be transparent in the final product.

Wouldn't hurt to try Cute

SmithyGCN Wrote:I... am not certain at this point. I am thinking maybe either Stencyl (when it comes out) or Game Maker, but I am unsure as to if either can support mode 7, scale, and rotation effects. :/

Registered GameMaker can do scaling and rotation right off the bat. Mode 7 takes a little more, but I've seen it done before.
Un-registered GM can't do scaling or rotation in-game; it has to be done before-hand (you should be able use the built-in image-editor for that, if you wanted to). Un-registered can't do mode 7 though, as far as I know, anyway...

I'm not too sure about Stencyl.

BTW, these sprites are awesome!

I can't wait for you to complete this game. So far, it looks like you're making a compilation game of every single 2d platformer that I love.

Good luck!

For those of you wondering when the next sheet is due, I'll have you know you won't have to wait forever. Can't say when but it will be very soon. As to who or what I am sheeting next for this project of ours: there's a clue in the first post.

Dark Matter Knight.

For those of you who guessed correctly (all none of you), many holidays will be made in your names.

As for this character, he is a powerful ever present threat who randomly shows up in certain rooms on any given map and will attack you if he sees you. If you enter a room and the music begins to warp, then you know, he's somewhere around and it's best to turn back... unless you think you're levelled/skilled enough to take him on, then go right ahead and fight him.

Dark Matter yes
I'll think of something to add later then.

Woah. Holy shit. I'd love to see it in motion, though.

That is too cool!

BTW, will he show his true form, or just the sword fighter form?

There's a reason we all love you, Smithy.

This sounds like an awesome concept! Although the sprites look awfully 16-bit to me, but what do I know?

Wasn't the Game Boy Color 16-bit (or the sounds i think)?

The second palette for the Knight, is that the Hit color, or a different version?

That's actually his after image that trails behind him.

and, anyway, characters in this game use from 3 to 5 colors so it would place it at around Gameboy Color style.
