Errors
If I'm not mistaken, you don't "upload" via URL, the image just gets linked and thus, large images cannot be resized (some boards do dynamic html scaling in such cases, but I guess myBB doesn't).

MyBB does indeed just link to the target avatar instead of copying it to the server (which it really should do). However, I just tried submitting an avatar that was larger than the allowed dimensions and it didn't fail - it instead returned an error stating that it must be 150x150 or less so size isn't causing that particular 502.
Thanked by:
Yeah, I've had it tell me that too, so I guess something else is causing the bad gateway error.
What I really wish it would do is if I wanted to paste in the link of a .GIF, and it automatically shrunk it for me instead of shrinking it and turning it into a static image.

I have to object. The point of linked avatars is that they are dynamic.
This way, one can put an image onto a server and have all accounts on different forums use this exact image via URL so if you swap said image, your avatar will change on all forums and you won't have to change them one by one.
Another possibility gained by linked avatars is this:

Random avatar images. A link that returns an image randomly chosen from a list. Every time you reload the page, the image might change.
Don't ask me why someone would want to do such a thing, but I do (someplace else). Genki ^_^

I agree that the ability to have dynamic avatars is a plus but many systems don't allow non-images as URLs for avatars to prevent abuse (though it seems that yours actually is an image so it's not subject to those restrictions). Additionally, there are benefits to having the avatar uploaded individually as well - should your host be unavailable, you don't lose your avatar. Plus, unless you're using a generic image name, like avatar.png, chances are you'll have to update your link on multiple forums anyway. Regardless, I agree that there is benefit to using a link if it's handled correctly so there's pros and cons for both sides.

I have to be honest and say I don't really understand...
How do you swap images? I've never heard of such a thing... wouldn't you have to replace the link to get the image to change?
And no, I wouldn't want my avatar to change every time I refreshed the page, lol...
Also I object against your objection (lol?). If I want to use an avatar that I found somewhere, I don't wanna re-animate it myself after re-sizing it (I also want to re-size every frame at once because one by one is annoying). It would at least help if I have a program that will at least tell me the frame rate of every frame so I can have it exactly the way it was before I shrunk it, but no I don't know of any that do.

Rrrrrrrandom!
Basically, the URL leads to a server who does not reply with an actual file, but instead redirects to a different URL which then leads to a file. Servers can do magical things, yes. It is also possible for a server to dynamically create new images every time, like Sloganizer does, with said images not appearing as real files on their harddrives.
Internet is all about protocols and computers communicating with each other. Imagine you ask someone for a photo of themselves and they give you a photo of their handsome friend instead. Genki ^_^

But... but PGA does! Select a frame and visit the "Frame #"-Tab, the "Duration" value is right there on the right side! Ouch!

Oh. I've barely used your program at all (haven't had a reason to since I don't play with animated stuff often), so I might have overlooked it. Shy

I'm on it... MagicMaker submitted them as 7z, I didn't notice.

Not knowing where we're going to stay

You're part of me, it's so easy to see the simple truth

The 2 Digimon sheets from the latest update lead to nothing.

Yeah, that sometimes happens when you copy the direct link of a sheet uploaded with min.us or PostImage.org, instead of saving the image to your PC and uploading it. That's why you guys should always double check the sheets you upload! Wink
IDK what it is with min.us... sometimes the link works and sometimes it don't... I'll go fix it.
Another thing is that Post Image doesn't use actual "direct links", so even when you copy the image location, it doesn't work right, meaning we're forced to save the sheets to our PCs to upload them.

Cookie Monster & Clown Chief are leading to the same sheet:

Oh damn it... in the IE 3 Headshots thing, I think I made a mistake in telling for the Headshots Set 2, which is supposed to be in Set 4, and so the original Set 2 is gone... but here's the link to it: http://img26.imageshack.us/img26/3355/200399.png

So basically, if anyone's not too busy, to take the current Set 2 in the page and replace Set 4 with that and then... put back the original Set 2 that I've linked... OTL Sorry for the trouble, guys...

Can't do much about the cookie monster as that one is most likely lost in the internet nirvana. Sorry. Ouch!

I guess I fixed the IE3 issue, although I couldn't see any differences between Set 4 and the false Set 2. I restored the correct Set 2, though. Genki ^_^
