I don't care if he wants to make 8-bit sprites; I'm actually encouraging him to. My issue is with the fact that he's referring to the sprites that he's making as 8-bit when they are, in fact, NOT 8-bit.
I never said anything about him not being allowed to make "DOS sprites" or things that aren't realistic so I'm not really sure where you're even coming from.
I'm talking purely in terms of stylistic integrity, not whether or not I think it looks good.
