[Image: qrUYb6B.jpg] I prefer this one. The other new one doesn't look nearly as good, and it presents a whole bunch of new problems. Just stick with this one until you make it look good enough, because if you keep restarting, you'll never get done. Trust me, I'm talking from experience here. Don't believe me? Take a look at how many times I've redone my own character.

To no offence, I prefer the 4th one. It looks so much closer to what I was aiming for. But to be honest, I am willing to work on both sprites at the same time. And I will do it. And the new one works better for a game I might make. So I'll work on 2 versions. Or I could put up a poll to see which other people prefer.

Here an updated version of, well let's just call this one PBG 1. PBG 1 + Sword.

At first, I thought that the heart was pillow-shaded.
God is good.  Big Grin

An old fart who sits on a chair, giving animation and pixeling advice,... and calls everyone son...

The heart is too straight-edged and the border looks a bit too "muddy"

That's actually not too bad.

Though, remember to not have the animation so stiff. Have a little "bobbing" motion as he's moving.

Not bad! All I can say is that maybe it could use some bobbing motion somewhere.

Align by the top line of pixels on his hair

then, frame 1 and 3, shorten them by the waistline

that should even out the animation, and create a bobbing realistic motion.

I use Fireworks, but that depends on if you are willing to shell out a fair sum of money to get it.

it's ok to suck, sucking is not bad, just try and aim to always do your best!
