On the topic of Brawl, the Ice Climbers are mine. I'll be uploading them later.

Yeah um guys, I opened a couple enemy files in BRRES Viewer and it said they were not valid BRRES files. I used Puyo Tools on them and it still did the same thing...

Interesting, are you opening the PAC files? I just tried it with Kirby and it seems to work fine for me.

I also noticed this. What happened?

The (what seems to be a) texture error, or the black background?

I think it's more the ridiculous proportions...

RE: I want to learn, but not sure where to start - Garamonde - 12-12-2011

Yeah, the folder "effect > enemy" only contains PAC files but none of them work for me... Pikachu, the trophies and such worked, but the enemies aren't... I wanted to start by submitting the mollusk thing with the swords (Arman?) and the Fire Primid.

Also your image isn't working for me A.J..

EDIT: NVM A.J. I can see your image now.

RE: I want to learn, but not sure where to start - ApocHedgie - 12-12-2011

Interesting, I works fine for me. Let me send you the version of BRRES Viewer that I have, see if that helps.

RE: I want to learn, but not sure where to start - Garamonde - 12-12-2011

I tried both BRRES Viewers that were in the folder you sent, and I find that some files work and some don't still. I can open some like Arman, the Primid and Kuribo (Goomba), and the latter two yield issues like the Goomba is only loading as a giant white square, while others like Bitan/Bytan, Waddle Dee and others still show me the "this is not a valid BRRES file" message. I think the Subspace enemies just don't like me. Cry

Sorry, I should've been more specific about the Lugia image. I was pretty tired when I posted it.. What I meant was his eye textures, plus he looks anorexic.

The reason his textures screw up is because of the weird way Nintendo does some of their models. Instead of the textures looping, it'll take the last pixel and stretch it out. Usually those need to be fixed manually in a program like 3DS Max with UVW unwrap, and editing the texture manually. As for the proportions, blame Nintendo.

Interesting, I'll take a look at those files and see what happens on my end.

Also, I exported Silver's (trophy) files and he's missing most of his textures...?

RE: I want to learn, but not sure where to start - Garamonde - 12-12-2011

Um, I found another thing... Trace is TOO high-poly and BRRES Viewer won't export him. What else can I use to get his PSK?

I can give it a shot if You give me the file. Smile

Nah, he's not missing his textures. It's just another one of those in-game transparency effects. He does have a proper model underneath the glow.

And I've also uploaded the stage models to my Mediafire, along with the other models. However, you will need BrawlBox to decompress the LZ77-compressed PAC files, or else BRRESViewer can't import them.
