No trouble at all! We're all here to help you not matter what it is! ...... Just as long as it isn't transferring any blood to you, or something like that.

Yes sir.

When you open your file and have Maya running, you first have to ensure the Attributes Editor is open (if it isn't, click the "Show or Hide the Attributes Editor" button in the top right corner). Next, click on the downwards triangle to open a drop down menu and select the options that look like they could relate to textures.

I can't find something that looks like a downwards triangle. If you can and not too much trouble can you show me a screenshot please?

Hang on! I have just the thing!

If you still can't see it, it's because there isn't enough attributes on that piece of the model to call for it. If that's that case, you can select the tab that looks like it could relate to texture information.

Thank you I'll trouble you again if I'm having problems. By the way I'm playing with dissidia cloud's model thought this information might help.

RE: Teaching a beginner - S-san - 11-09-2011

I tried a few times and still had no luck in adding textures.

RE: Teaching a beginner - E-Man - 11-09-2011

Did you remember to turn on the textures button?
