I think the sizes are fine. Wal's arms are a bit short though. And he should have the racket out all the time because then how will he use other things? Keep in mind he has access to tennis, golf, soccer, dance, Olympics, karts, and of course, bombs.

RE: Waluigi - Koopaul - 12-06-2009

I agree that he shouldn't have the racket out all the time. Limits him from other things.

RE: Waluigi - Bazzoka - 12-07-2009

Not to mention, isn't he going to be in his strikers uniform as his normal costume? It'd look pretty odd if a soccer player was carrying a tennis racket around.

Well from what I remember, Waluigi is only a tad shorter than Bowser.

And look:

I meant his arms :I

And I think Waluigi should have his racquet out the whole time, because it differentiate him from mario, Luigi, and Wario. I mean Luigi is practically a clone of mario, and we dont need a clone for wario.
You should make another poll about his racket

RE: Waluigi - Crappy Blue Luigi - 12-07-2009

Uh.

Waluigi has an entirely different attack style and moveset from Wario. They're not even similar in height or physique!

Besides, Ton has a good point with it limiting his use of other weapons, like golf clubs. Or hell, it limits him from using items, too, unless he holds them in the other hand.

RE: Waluigi - Frario - 12-07-2009

btw, just reminding that you guys can use the arms I used to edit

RE: Waluigi - Sol - 12-07-2009

Having his Strikers uniform as his default costume is kind of stupid, in my opinion. Waluigi is known for being in party and sports games, but he usually wears his normal clothes in them. The Strikers outfit was a onetime thing. And as for the "but Wario isn't wearing his classic clothes" reasoning: Who cares..? The only reason Wario was wearing his Biker outfit as a preset in Brawl was because he branched off into his own series, where he got a new outfit, which became his new standard costume. The same can't be said for Waluigi. It just seems silly.

We thought it would be a good idea for 2 reasons;
1. It ties him to his sports-related moveset
2. It keeps the question of Wario and Waluigi's matching costumes from being asked. If Waluigi is in his overalls and Wario isn't it'll look very odd. By havingtheir overalls as secondary we can keep them from being associated with each other as rigidly.

RE: Waluigi - Cshad - 12-07-2009

I thought we wanted Wairo and Waluigi to be associated with eachother?

Except like I said, Waluigi does all of these sports (Strikers being the exception) in his normal clothing. He doesn't need an outfit to tie all his moves together- Everyone who knows Waluigi knows he does this stuff, and for people who don't know Waluigi the soccer outfit won't have any significance anyway.

And also like I said about the matching costumes question: Who cares? I don't think anyone is going to throw a fit because their costumes don't match. If anything, more people will be asking "Why isn't Waluigi wearing his actual clothes?"

RE: Waluigi - Ton - 12-07-2009

If there's pne thing I've learned working on this project, it's that people throw a fit about everything.

RE: Waluigi - Cshad - 12-07-2009

That not fair to say at all. People have a right to argue if they feel they think they know whats best for the character, it's a community project, not a one man job. You have argued for what you think the characters should wear too, arguing bring us to the best solution, especially in a project like this. You should welcome it.

Thus, you criticize everybody's opinion that disagrees with yours. If we had no disagreement, how could this project get any better? You cannot exclude yourself and say you were not part of the argument yourself.

RE: Waluigi - Koopaul - 12-07-2009

Well this is mostly my fault. I argued to high heaven that Waluigi isn't a Wario character and his very appearance drags Wario back to the Marioverse rather than his own.

We both agreed that if Wario and Waluigi wore costumes that didn't say "we're just like the Mario Bros" it would make it seem like Waluigi also deviated from the Mario series just like Wario.

Its a lie, but what ya do? Nobody thinks any other character is suited for Wario right?
