Hm, I dunno how to give you any actual advice but for now I'll at least say you don't really have an orbison voice. It puts a smile on my face everytime I see young people take an interest in 50's/early60's music though. Smile

Well, I wouldn't neccisarily say skip him, your voice just needs more training. Unfortunately I don't know what advice to give on the subject. Sad

I sing a lot, which doesn't necessarily mean I'm good at it, but I can give you a few hints. I'd say you're on the right track, but of course still need a lot of practice if you want to base your "talent" on singing. You're a little off-key at parts, and sometimes you don't sing at the same tone as the guy, but that's all fine and not really something to worry about obsessively. You also look too tense - relax, cool down.

Like most arts, all you can do is a) hope you have some secret, innate talent, and b) practice. There's not much more to it. Just remember voice does have limitations, and as such, sometimes "lowering that octave" isn't quite possible. Most singers focus on a certain scale and stick to it since otherwise they tend to suck. You could always try voice training if you want to seriously master your vocals, and I do believe you have lots of potential, so go for it if you want.

Cute avatar, by the way.

a good bump but after a few months of voice coaching I thought I'd try this again. Hopefully it's ok that I just keep this topic instead of making a new one.

That's a very good question.

I really should ban either or both of your accounts on principle.

I had scrambled my other account, and made this one since I couldnt get on the other one after about a month of trying to quit TSR.

Then i just pmed an admin, I think Ton and Dazz, who were the only two online at the time, to see if they could unscramble it per Tyvons suggestion. And I never got a pm back. So Ive used started using this one.
