Assist Trophies and Pokemon
Oh, hahaha, I didn't notice the description on the front page! Ahh, they're basically exactly the same. I suppose I should've looked more thoroughly through the list. xS

Glad you guys like it! Big Grin Though Aura, where abouts do you think I should touch it up? I can't quite put my finger on what needs help, but I'd really appreciate it if you told me. Smile

The mud section seems seperated from the floor, and the shading makes it look slightly flat, rather than circular. Other than that, I dont know what else could be fixed!

Alrighty, I'll get right on it! Thanks, mate! Tongue

EDIT:

Here we go:

I lowered the dirt a pixel, making sure not to get rid of the bump completely, seeing as the dirt was pushed out from the ground. I also noticed that Whacka in Paper Mario has a rather thick inner outline, so I gave mine a little but more too, in the form of a lighter shade; to give the impression that it's less fat, and more rounded.

Is this any better? Anything else that needs changing?

EDIT AGAIN:

Forgot to mention, I moved the eye over a pixel. Tongue

I would recommend that you dont shade in the bottom of the mud, because that wil make it look attatched to the floor.

I tried it without the bottom outline, but it looked a little odd.. The dirt is kind of piling up, so it makes sense to have some sort of shading at the bottom, I guess. Tongue

However, I did try lightening the bottom shade, and darkening the lighter shade. Seemed to work quite well, I guess (number four). In number 3, I merely darkened the lines separating each ball of dirt, as well as make some minor changes to the whacka's actual body, as with the fourth.

I like 3 best

It looks pillow-shaded. Please define a light source.

Otherwise, it looks okay.
Thanked by:
I thought because it was from Paper Mario, and that there generally is no shade on the characters in that game, I should shade it in a similar style. My reference pic strongly suggested that, too.

But I'll try it with a more definite light source, if you wish.

The game isnt paper mario, though.
Thanked by:
That's very true, and it just so happens I made a quick little edit earlier to add shading accordingly because of this fact. Tongue

Any better?

Thanked by:
Not trying to sound awkward, but the colours are almost too similar. The shading itself is good, but the range of colours that you used aren't very well defined
Thanked by:
Not only that, but the colours look dirty; try a slightly more vibrant and colourful blue.
Thanked by:
Sure thing, I'll try it in a sec then. Stand by for an update in a little bit.

Okidokee. I made it as vibrant as I assumed possible without making it painful for the eyes. Big Grin How's that? Any better?

Thanked by:
New colors look nice, but see if you can up the contrast between the shades a bit.
Thanked by:
I wasn't sure how to increase the contrast between the shades without really changing the actual colors, so I did end up morphing them a little, as well as increase the width of the second darkest shade.

Is that what you were after?
