@Koopaul: Ah, well I didn't see that, which is my fault since I really only looked through a few pages, and the First Post's list didn't have it on it...Also, I can't believe that the Gender Difference Slipped my mind, but yeah, that works.

@$uperLugia: I know Yellow's based closer to the Anime, the Default names are 'Ash' and 'Gary' you get all 3 Starters, and Jessie and James are in it, but that's really about as close as it gets. 'Ash' still(more or less) has 'Reds' original Sprite (and the same Sprite in G/S, with the white part of the hat split on the G/S Sprite). This is really the only game the Anime's brought up in, which is what I meant by my original Comment, 'The Anime doesn't have much to do with the games.'

@Ton: The Misty Trophy's Design is also on Pokemon Yellow's Misty Sprite, which again, is a reference to the anime...To be honest, I never really noticed the Misty Trophy, but they could've just picked her most 'recognizable' clothes. In the Description, there wasn't any mention of her leaving the Gym, so that could be the case, but that also has a bunch of holes in it, since it just describes who she is...
I still say that the Pokemon Trainer, instead of an 'Ash' costume, should have the Original Trainer as a costume...

While as far as the games go, I know the Anime isn't canon, but the Anime is an important part of the Pokemon series because I don't think it's popularity would be the same without the anime. Especially not here in America.

Also, characters from the anime were in Puzzle League Challenge. Just putting that out there.

And I was wondering: Is there a limit to how many alternate costumes a character can have? And if so, why?

My idea on characters secondary customes would be:

Mario-Dr.Mario
Luigi-"unknown" Waluigi works as a colour, and so does Mr.L so what else could work?
Bowser- Bowser.Jr perhaps? Maiby a Koopa Kid? Dry Bowser works better as a colour...
Peach- Oy, another toughie. Princess Shroob? Dark Queen from PM2? Cackletta? XD
DK- K,Rool just for laughs? A Bond suit as a joke on DK-Mode in Goldeneye?
Diddy- Dixie? Tiny? Demille? Considering all his gadgets...
Wario- Classic Wario, but he should have Yokubs as a colour version in his first one...
Link- Takamaru from Nazo no Murasamejo, made by the same guy who made Zelda.
Zelda- Toon Zelda?
Sheik- Tetra?
Ganondorf- WindWiker styled Ganondorf, you could even make The King as a colour.
Toon Link- Vaaaaaaatiiiiiiiii (Sorry)
Kirby- Gooie? But considering he's a character now... hmmm... no idea...
MetaKnight- Sir Kibble? Galacta Knight? DarkMatter Knight?
DeDeDe- Masked DeDeDe?
Ness- Porky? Jeff? Lucas' Father (as a reference to that rumour)
Lucas- Pigmask Suit? Would be hilarious and good idea.

Keep in mind, this should be only a visual change to the character, not a retooling. For instance, Yoshi's costume cannot be Birdo. In fact, a costume cannot transform the character into another character at all.

Also, just throwing this out there, Naked Snake is a different character than Solid Snake. So technically that would work out about as well as Liquid Snake being Snake's new costume.

You seem to miss the idea of a skin change. The new costumes cannot affect the way the character plays. Ancient Minister might as well be another character (NO.). Also, Mr. L is different enough design-wise to warrant a costume.

Can you point out which ones you're talking about? I took that into account, outside of like, Ancient Minister. And it's not like you can't create an entirely new costume for him, that takes ques from the Ancient Minister outfit.

I don't think it's really possible to have a custom for Gooey beyond color changes. Placing things like hats on him (ala Pikachu and Jigglypuff) seems kinda weak.
