I Suck At Spriting! So Why Did I Come To These Forums?
#1
A while ago I did Sprite Animations, as you can see from my old YouTube page. (http://www.youtube.com/user/alphaicx) I am starting to get to try that again. Using a Macbook and a Desktop Mac. Programs I use to make my animations: iMovie HD, Pixen, LiveQuartz, iMovie 08. It is tough to do them however, as it requires me to clone the sheet I get a hundred or so times then crop every one. (If someone has a better method do share. Thanks!) And TSR has been my main sprite Shop & Stop. Even though I also use MFGG and TMFZ.

So if anyone has tips for me please share them with me. I'm all ears!

Welcome. And there's many 'how to sprite' tutorials here so no need to worry.

iMovie HD, Pixen, Live Quartz, each shittier than the last.
Pixen's not stable and will crash on your MacBook overly often. Live Quartz isn't really something you do bitmap works with, and neither are the imovie brothers.
What you really should look into is Adobe Flash, as it is the best animating utility out there, whether you worked with vector or bitmap artwork. CS4's a bit different than the older versions, so if you get a chance to grab CS3, do so. (Best case scenario; crack both)

Also, welcome.
Once there was a way to get back homeward
