Best Way to Extract .uasset Sound Files for Princess Peach: Showtime!
#1
So I have managed to extract the .pak file for Princess Peach: Showtime!, but I am more after the sounds than the models.

I have been using FModel to extract the sounds with a little bit of success, but I have to sort out through every single sound that is in the .bnk file which aren't named (only numbers) and it is starting to do my head in. My main priority is Peach's voice lines.

I am wondering what is the best way to extract the original named .uasset sound files. I have read that you can do it, but it is a tedious process and I am just wanting to extract the sounds to upload here on the Sounds Resource ASAP. I read that apparently you have to deserialise the .uasset files for them to work, but I am not 100% convinced that this will work.

I understand your not after models but how did you extract the Pak file using F model?

This can probably take some time. Oof.

Did you at least extract the SFX files and voice clips as wavs tho despite not being file named?

I just used my normal workflows for extracting sounds, although I had to try out new things for this particular game.

After many months of procrastination and sorting, I think I am almost done with sorting out Peach's voice clips. I may also throw in Stella's and Grape's voice clips too. Expect them to be uploaded to the Sounds Resource soon!

Yep, it sure has lol.

Lots of procrastination and life has interfered with this project, but I think I am almost done sorting out the voice clips I want, mainly Peach's ones but I may throw in Grape's and Stella's sometime in the future.

Should be uploaded to the Sounds Resource soon!

Great news! I have uploaded both Peach's and Grape's voice files on the Sounds Resource.

It was an absolute PAIN to go through these sounds to check them for duplicates, as they are numbered instead of having their proper names. If anyone knows how to do this with FModel, please let me know as I would love to re-extract them with their proper names!

I may eventually upload Stella's voice clips and possibly some general sound effects in the future, but for now, I definitely need a break as this took WAY too long lol.

It’s awesome you found Peachy’s voices! ^^ Tho I’ve been waiting for 3 weeks, and the voices are still not listed in Sound Resource. The website is always taking too long to to just upload all in an instant. :/
