Sprites from Herc's Adventures
#1
Ok I'm posting this for the sake of documenting the research I've done so far with this game.
So I wanted to look into the sprites from Herc's Adventures for the PS1, but the files are stored inside a BIG.bin file.
The game was developed by the same people who made the Simpsons Wrestling.

HorseFolder on TCRF provided me with a QuickBMS scipt for Simpsons Wrestling just to see if it worked... and it did... kind of? (Thanks for your help BTW)
It only extracted a third of all the files, but it seems the .lev files host the graphics.

You have to constantly increase/decrease the width to get results. This is probably not the best way of going around this...

I want to put this info here just in case anyone is interested in ripping stuff from this game one day. (Simpsons Wrestling MAY be on my sprite ripping list at some point tho)

EDIT: I used PSX-vram and it definitely yielded me better results... tho finding the right palette is going to be a pain (for both this and simpsons)

Finding the palette with PSX-VRAM is actually super easy. Just take a reference screenshot and compare it with the stuff you have on screen.

As far as I can see, there are not even many palettes to check out. Just keep in my mind that you have two locations where palettes are stored (a big one on the right and a very small one on the middle).
Also the bigger location seem to have four columns with palettes, btw.
