How do I rip sounds from PSX Crash 3?
#1
If anyone still has connections with Mysticus, or if Mysticus is still active, please get the user on the horn as I need to know how they successfully ripped Crash 1 sound effects from PSX https://www.sounds-resource.com/playstat...und/28187/. The sounds displayed here: https://www.sounds-resource.com/playstat...ot3warped/ are just the character voice lines in multiple languages slowed down; that's false advertising. So for now, until someone else does successfully rip the sound effects like Mysticus, I have to rip them myself. But I'm sorry to report that jPSXdec failed to extract all the files I was hoping for.

Not really. How does this software work? If it can extract the sound effects from the .bin files of Crash 3 along with Crash 2, then that would help as Crash's walking on different surfaces sounds along with the enemy plane gun sounds could be useful for my custom animation video.

That's great, now maybe you can save someone else the trouble and upload the sounds.

I'm only interested in certain sounds. But fortunately for this thread, it'll help those in need of PSX crash sounds. First, extract the .bin file with CDmage, then search for the level of interest with this hex code page: https://crash-hacking.fandom.com/wiki/Level_ID, and make sure you have the correct pitch of the sound file, then click export.

Note: the nitro explosion is actually TWO separate sound files. It combines the TNT explosion with sounds of bottles breaking.
