i've been trying to rip sprites from an exe game (SONIC.EXE specifically (yes)) but i cant find a good method to do so

ive tried using resource hacker and resourcesextract and all they give me are different .bin files as well as an unrelated avi file (file transferring animation) and the icon for the game, and some other .manifest and .txt files

i don't know specifically; some of the resources say "Sonic7.exe" and "TestPlatformer" so these could be helpful?

Not really, it depends on the used engine which extraction method you can use in terms of PC games. Sometimes the file extension gives you extra options, but BIN is too generic to recommend anything helpful.
