Going to make custom models, need help
#1
I litteraly do not know in the slightest how to make a model, or texture it, or even upload it! I was going to make Monster Hunter World and Rise monsters in Generations Ultimate's style, any help will be appreciated, i will be using Blender to model and texture, and if anyone can give me the World/Rise models for Nergigante, Anjanath, Goss Harag, and Magnamalo for reference, it'll probably be much easier for me.

You'll have to start smaller than "remake a game's models in the style of another game" if you are legit starting from "do not know in the slightest". There's many steps you have to get down first.
  • Learn the basics of the program.
  • Learn how to make simple objects like chairs and donuts.
  • Learn how to make more complex surfaces with good geometry.
  • Learn how to unwrap models and texture them.
  • Learn how to make bones/armatures and rig models for animation.

That's probably the main stuff you need to know for making a tMR submission.

I'm on a similar journey. Here's the path I've been taking:

I started with the Blender Guru's Donut tutorial (The latest version is here: https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PL...DSjEqdWMAD)
Next, I watched his chair tutorial, which teaches hard object modeling and how the SubSurf modifier works,
Then, I went and found a tutorial for modeling a low-poly human,
And finally, I watched a tutorial for modeling a higher-poly character.

Where am I at now? By putting together everything I've learned, I can make a decent character from a reference. Now, I'm currently working on solving the woes of weight-painting a rigged character. Tongue

In my experience, learning to make characters is relatively easy if you know how to find good learning resources. It mainly takes a lot of time and practice, and the patience/dedication to keep working on it.
