various rips
More rips from Super Nazo Puyo Tsuu: Rulue no Tetsuwan Hanjyouki
[Image: agWMKlN.png]
Trying to assemble Rulue, the only playable character.

Also beat Pikmin in one shot, it's still as good as I remember it.

Edit: Rulue is done.

Nice work! Is this another Poyo Poyo localization, or just an entry in the series?

Like Mean Bean Machine & Kirby's Avalanche / Ghost Trap?

Nah, it's an actual entry but since it's a Nazo Puyo game, you only have single player puzzles (these puzzles are fix, you're not playing against an AI).

Got a PM with a user needing the ALttP sprites for a documentation on the game, therefore I'm continuing.

GlitterBerri also asked how I do my rips, so for him/her and everyone else, this is how my interface in vSNES looks like:

Any sprite (16x16, 8x8, etc.) can be removed, background colour for the memory viewer can be changed and other neat stuff.

+ I use Snagit to make screenshots (hotkey, mark the area you want to have as a picture, gets automatically saved as a PNG to a certain folder).
+ For ingame stuff, I use ZSNES (only if the emulator colours match up with vSNES, which displays raw colours).
+ Usually I erase ZSNES layers with 1-5 and make screencaps with F1 and Screenshot incr frm or Incr frm only (one screenshot per frame / increase frame only).
+ vSNES itself uses ZSNES quicksaves to function for me.

Since Zelda is done, I guess I can move on to the next big SNES game, which is Super Mario Bros. 3.

I already did some rips for this game and now it's time for Mario & Luigi to receive some love.

Should be enough to get every single frame for these two.
This will take a long time, but in the end, it will be done =)

Throwing projectiles in the air is just the swim animation in reverse.

Most of the sprites for Mario are now ripped, but there's still a lot to do.

I'll search the VRAM for more unused stuff, but so far this is everything (except at least one swim frame for small Mario):

Swimming in general (pressing / not pressing buttons) is out of order here, btw.

Mario is done.
I also made reports and revisions for the other Mario sheets to clean the section up.

tbh you could probably put all the map and bonus sprites on the sheet as well.
Do the credits have any unique Mario sprites?

I just thought about that too since there is already some blank space on the sheet.

Originally I wanted all the overworld sprites on a single sheet (Mario, Luigi, Hammer Bros, Tank, Ship, Tornado, etc.) and I still think it makes sense.
Maybe I start doing this sheet and see how much I can dig up? In the end I could at least add the minigame sprites to the Mario sheet.

Edit: I haven't seen any unique sprites in the credits.

I guess Luigi should be on the site first before I fiddle around with overworld stuff.
Since Mario is already done, I can use him as a template for his brother to speed up the entire ripping process.
