Question about ripping from DQ Dai: A Hero's Bonds
#1
Hello everyone! I've been playing the mobile game Dragon Quest Adventure of Dai: A Hero's Bonds and was interested in ripping some of the images (character portraits, backgrounds, potentially models but that's out of the scope of this particular subforum) for personal use.

I've never done anything like this before but after some fumbling with various programs including Asset Studio I was able to access some of the UI elements, as well as the game fonts. However I seem to have hit a roadblock accessing any other files.

The android version of the game stores the majority of its files in a subfolder structure that goes roughly like this. assets -> assetpack -> blob. Within the blob subfolder are 256 more subfolders with two character hexadecimal file names starting with 00 and ending with ff. Each of these subfolders contains one or more files with no extension, hexadecimal filenames (for example, '009bfd59cd750f18') and varying file sizes. Nothing I've thrown at these particular files has been able to open them or make any headway in figuring out what they even are.

Am I basically SOL or is there some method for dealing with files like this that I'm unaware of? Again, this is my first time trying to rip files from a mobile game like this so I'm in waaaay over my head. FWIW the game seems to be made with Unity.
