[3DS] Metroid: Samus Returns .med & .mtx
#1
Hello, can someone make a script to extract the models and textures for this game?
I will send sample files if anyone is interested.
I already asked at xentax and zenhax but no luck there...
Thank you for your time and sorry just in case if this is the wrong place to ask.

Edit 10/26/2021:
I have Commissioned someone to make a Noesis script, i will release it soon Big Grin.

Here is the Noesis Python script and a BMS script to rename the textures.
https://www.mediafire.com/file/4yj6dovbo...R.zip/file

Instructions:
1: You put the script inside the Noesis Python folder(located inside the plugins folder).

2: Then you need to decompress the .pkg files in the rom using Aluigi's BMS script for Samus Returns.
Here's the link for the BMS script: https://aluigi.altervista.org/bms/metroid_sr_3ds.bms

3: Now you use the BMS script that comes with the Noesis script to rename the textures inside the
decompressed .pkg of choice.

4: Open Noesis and all should be working fine.

Notes:
-This Noesis script has animation support, you'll be prompted to select a folder with the
animations you want to load.
All the .man files in it and its subfolders will be loaded(the animations are inside the .pkg of choice).
If a model moves around very weirdly that means that the animation is not for it.
Use data viewer to check individual animations more easily, once you have everything
loaded go to "Tools"->"Data Viewer" -> "Model" then under animations you'll have all the animation filenames.
Simply click on one of them to preview it.

-Samus's animations are divided in 2 parts, one set for the legs and the second
set for the upper area.

-In the Noesis script you will see "showHiddenMeshes = False", this setting is for enabling GFX in certain models.
To enable this setting first you have to open the script in a text editor of choice, then you just have to change "False" to "True" in the script.

-If a texture is not found, you'll find a .txt file under the plugins/python folder named "SR".
This will have the missing texture names there so you'll just have to find these and
put it next to the model file you're trying to open and that will work(textures will be in another .pkg file).

I hope you enjoy the Noesis script like i did, the creator did a fine work with it.

I've been asking around for this since 2018, I just wanted to say thank you for this.

One possible issue with this, though it could just be that I haven't found the right file yet; I can't seem to find any alpha maps for Ridley's wings. [Image: unknown.png]
