model mdl format on ds?

So I'm trying to rip a weird shovelware game called puppy palace, or in europe it's my puppy shop, on ds. Mainly specifically trying to rip the dogs, mostly for the sake of, hopefully with rigging but well with how unknown the game is good luck with that, it's also one of the special few that don't work in desmume and the emulators that can run it have no features whatsoever to view the memory or debug anything so take that what you will

so here's what i've done. Put the rom in tinke, the dogs seem to be the *.mdl format, and their textures might either be the *cat or *saf files. Leaning towards the *safs because there's multiple of them counting upwards, which makes more sense if there's multiple sets (there are a LOT of textured breeds in the game)

haven't got a clue how you'd work with them though

don't hang around the forums much so i'm not sure if this is the right place to ask. i can unpack some files if one wants to mess with them, i'm not sure if they're rippable though. nonetheless just want to get some form of confirmation
