Mario Kart Tour track textures (Unity/Asset Studio)
#1
I have gained access to the Mario Kart Tour files and exported all of the files using Asset Studio and it appears to have done wonders. That said, some of the textures appear to be broken or missing. Specifically the common textures.

For example, GCN Yoshi Circuit (Ggc_YoshiCircuit in the files) imports fine into Blender 2.8 and has its unique textures, however the material M_Cmn_MainColor_Detail is grey and missing any textures. I've checked over all the files with cmn in their name and they don't appear to be of any relevance to the buildings, the trees and the grass that all use this common texture with one shared material.

Does anyone have any experience with dealing with this situation? Or perhaps any suggestions on what I can try in order to fix these models?

EDIT:
As a completely off topic question that I can't imagine will be answered, does anyone know how to download all the data? The city courses are all missing because they are not part of the current tour. Do I have to wait for the next update where they appear and rip the assets again or can I trick the server into giving me this data?

I see, that makes a lot of sense. Do you know if it's possible to export this data?

Considering they're all one material I'm unaware of how the vertex colours would be applied in Unity. My only guess is that there is a script that creates an instance of the material at runtime and adjusts the colours per object

Don't worry I'm just dumb. The data is already on the model (duh), I just needed to use a shader that supported vertex coloring!
