Need help ripping models from Sonic Riders Zero Gravity
#1
aight, ey this is my first post

I extracted the files from the Wii version of SRZG and used DkZ Studio for extracting the ImageX.cvm packages(old criware format).

got a bunch of .adx music files, .afs voices, .tbl files(referring to character names), .dat files, alot of .p files and many attachmentless files

According to RTB, this game uses .GNO models like other Wii Sega games, he used memory dumps for getting the models, but i want to try ripping them directly from the game files.

btw i looked at some file headers, here's what i found:

.dat:

.tbl/.p/extensionless

in case anybody knows how to decrypt that kind of files please tell me so then i can rip some SRZG models

The only way I've found to rip them is to open the entire image1.cvm file in a hex editor and search for a .GNO header (NGIF) and footer (NEND or something) and manually select the model. Same with the textures, about hexing them out. The textures, bones, and groups also need modifying so it's just a pain in the butt :/

Here's a rip I did from that game, for reference: http://www.mediafire.com/file/f6bb2jop3u23vdp/Amy.zip

I'm currently trying to rip SRZG right now but in the Hex Editor (I dunno about you but, I use HxD) so when scrolling or using the search tool I find this

I type in "shadow" and I find this code

4E 46 4E 30 18 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 73 68 61 64 6F 77 5F 34 76 2E 67 6E 6F 00 00 00 4E 45 4E 44 18 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00

When I type in "sonic" I get this

4E 46 4E 30 18 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 73 6F 6E 69 63 5F 34 76 2E 67 6E 6F 00 00 00 00 4E 45 4E 44 18 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00

Is this what I'm looking for?! If so, how do I extract this .GNO file to import to Blender with the new SEGA NN Tools I just downloaded. Please I seriously need help on this

Hey gamers,
the .p files are the model files, but youll find that most of them are compressed. If you want to find model files that aren't compressed, download a grepper (astrogrep or another similar tool) and search for NGOB (wiiu) or NSOB (playstation2) in files.

the sega nn tools dont have gno support yet and the playstation format is troublesome but youre free to try with it regardless.

I think textures are packed within the model files where the Image1.CVM package is or in another folder, I always assumed they're packed wtih the .GNO file

@josh98 Do you have any information of how you rip textures?
