What's the policy on submissions that obviate another user's submissions?

Here's the situation: OtherUser has already uploaded a submission of a character including only colour palette 2. I am planning a submission of this character that includes all 3 palettes. What is the likely staff response to this sort of conflict? Does OtherUser's submission stay alongside because it came first, or does it get deleted because it's now incomplete/outdated?

I think the submission gets deleted since it's outdated. That's what typically happens from my experience.

The site policy has always been that more-complete sheets replace less-complete sheets.

I have another, related question that I didn't feel deserved its own thread.

I know it's been declined in the past to add a "bulk download" feature to the site (for valid reasons). But what about bulk submissions? Like say X already uploaded 20 characters and 40 maps, and then makes two new (.zip) submissions for "all characters" and "all maps", so now people have an option to get stuff individually or get everything at once. Is that allowed?

We really only like to see zips when sheeting the content just isn't feasible. I find zip submissions to often be lazy but beyond that, they're less engaging as there's nothing to look at on the site. I can say from personal experience that not everyone is here to use the content - many just browse for the sake of looking at it and you can't do that with zips.

So, to answer your question, no. And it's simply because I want to reduce the number of zip files on the site rather than add to it. I do appreciate where you're coming from on that one though.

Sure that's understandable for spirtesheets and textures. But what about sounds and models, which are already .zips?

Those types of submissions already take up quite a bit of space and duplicating all of it really isn't an efficient use of storage.
