M&L Styled DK (For the heck of it)
#1
I like the style and felt like emulating it. Everything outside of the head and arms are merely blocked out at the moment. Any critiques, tips or comments?

Wow, that's looking really good. I think his head colors could stand out from his body a bit more though.

This looks really good so far!
The only critique I have is his proportions.
DK's arms look a little too long and far apart, I recommend using this for reference:

I also recommend using a darker shade of brown. His current palette is a little two yellow.
Keep up the great work!

I'm back! Taking the comments into consideration, I made some adjustments to DK while I finished him up. Finding a good enough palette for him was probably the hardest part, nothing quite felt spot on enough so I eventually just went with a custom color choice. I also brought in his arms a little like suggested (I was using Smash Bros. as reference beforehand, lol

Still not 100% sure on the shading, might tweak the head and shoulders in that regard a little more but otherwise it's about done-ish.
