Master System Project
#16
Some bad news, have to bow out of sprite ripping so the project on my side is over but it doesn't mean that its the end.

So as a present, here's most of the unfinished stuff:

Maybe one day...

What's going on on your end though? Is it like a job or are you losing your internet due to financial reasons?

Also I was planning on doing "High School! Kimengumi" sometime because I did the sound effects from it a month ago.

Hi there Yawackhary, sorry to bump this thread like a mother-effer but I noticed that Poseidon Wars 3-D wasn't crossed off, I ripped that game years ago!

Oh I didn't know how that happened...

Anyway, I've updated the list and cross off The Ottifants, Line of Fire and Sega World Tournament Golf too. Nice to see the project continuing (did start ripping from Shadow of the Beast and should have it done in a few weeks/couple of months due to the backlog, been so long since I've last ripped from a Master System game).

Hey Yawack, I've gotten James Pond 2, Line of Fire, Puznic, Cyborg Z, Sega World Tournament Golf, and Olympic Gold all submitted, time to knock those off the list!

Regarding games like High School Kimengumi, are you still in progress with it? If not, I could easily finish the WIP sheet for you and put both of our names on it. I'm kind of sad that we're darn near almost done with the entire official library because of how the NES trampled the Master System in size. Unless I start ripping from more prototypes and homebrews (which there aren't many to come by, but they do appear every blue moon).

You can take over the High School Kimengumi sheet, no problem. No progress has been made since last time.

As for the list, those are crossed off and added a new one. Yep, Super Penguin has been recently dumped and it's one of those Korean originals that came out on both the Master System and the MSX. Unless an obscure Korean game that isn't a bootleg MSX port or the alleged prototypes (Die Hard 2 and The Godfather) pop up, yeah that's going to be a bitter sweet ending for the old Master System once the project is done and it's a real shame...

At last, High School! Kimengumi is finished. I really like this game's art style, but not so much the actual game itself.

Brought this back from the dead and still loving the idea of having more or less one complete console on tSR (at least in terms of commercial games). It's getting closer to the finish!

Thank goodness that this Operation Wolf clone game has unlimited health/ammo cheats and Emulicious can freeze a value in the memory viewer is all I can say...

Also Assault City, Super Kick Off, Nekkyū Kōshien, Mahjong Sengoku Jidai, Xevious / The Micro Xevious, Galactic Protector are crossed off and slightly made a few more games a bit more beefier. I'm also not happy with the gameplay sprites Xevious rip as it feels more like a Spectrum rip, it's the hacky layering of the TMS9918a (having the same problem with the MSX2 Lupin rips where the extra colors feels like a hack). It also doesn't help that the game just feels unfinished... The other sheets from the game no problem, just when sprites are concerned.

Working on Sensible Soccer, Woody Woodpecker and California Games II. Double checking Sensi though because TileMole-ster has a nasty bug where occasionally regarding Master System and Game Gear games that some pixels get skipped on tiles causing broken sprites, this is regardless of version as thinking about it was an issue back in the day... Did also look into Gangster Town meaning if it gets done, all the Light Phaser games are on tSR and also 1 game left for the US library that happens to be a RPG. As for the rest of TransBot, it would be best left to someone who knows what they are doing... I'm not good at RPGs or STGs at all...

Towards the point where technically can rip the Eagles 5 sprites but because of lack of skill (and the demo mode lack of skill too) not possible. So I'll give a bit of help for anyone who wants to tackle the game. It can be ripped with YY-CHR using 1BPP and change the pattern to FC/NES x16. Just play the game to get the palettes.

For anyone curious, this is what's left:
