No Ripper works
#1
I've tried 3d ripper dx, ninja ripper and zmodeler2 as instructed by there respected youtube vidoes but none of them will rip anything what so ever from the game I'm trying them on. This being my first attempt any advice on what I should try would be helpful.

Well, tried QuickBMS and was able to get a number of .mtn and a few .chr files. Just need to figure out how to open them.

What game you trying to rip from? Some rippers only work with certain emulators and configurations, so they will rip nothing if they're not correct.

At the moment I'm trying to get character model's from Xanadu Next. Both to mess around with and to submit to the model database.

If you can upload sample file formats, that would help myself and others around the forums that are willing to help you.

These are all the file's I got when I used QuickBMS on the player.dir file for Xanadu Next. P_0000A & B are originally in the same folder. From what I've found .chr is supposed to be used in cryengine so I downloaded that but still wasn't able to open them. I was hoping to convert them to open in blender but google's failed when I searched how to try that.

Well nothing I've tried has worked, so if no one has any ideas I'm gonna call this a failure and abandon it.

chr is the mesh file. I don't know how to open it as of yet, but will look into it in the coming days.

By mesh do you mean the texture's or model?

The model
I usually rip models from obscure licensed games.
