Sonic Xtreme .def files?

So, Sonic Xtreme's map files are in a .def format, is there any way to convert that to an obj?
I can't seem to find anything on the internet about .def files, is this a Sonic Xtreme exclusive file type?

A few dumps have been leaked online. I think there were 3 or 4.

This thread on Sonic Retro may help you. The only thing I know about .def files is that you can modify them in a text editor.
