Dumping .std and .saf files? (NDS)
#1
Sad
Hello!

I'm translating Pokémon Card Game Asobikata DS (Learn how to play Pokémon Card Training DS), also it's my first translation i made.

You can see info about my translation here: https://gbatemp.net/threads/unfinished-t...ds.476692/
Or look a video i recorded with DeSmume, (the text is too fast because the emu was too laggy and didn't responded correctly to my inputs, so, sorry, also, this video is old, i will try record another new one): https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IduCjJWOTB0

So, i was happily checking the data of the game, and surprise, there aren't NDS common files, these are others i never heard. most files of the game are .std and .saf images
as i can see, .std files seems are like images, because i can see in /card/ folder there are .std files and that can gave me the idea .std files are like images files.

The issue is i can't find any tool to open .std and .saf files.

i already asked in GBAtemp and nobody replied it... Cry
i always wanted to translate a game, but now i see it's not easy as i thought. lol

so, does anyone know dumping these files?
I will attach some .std and .saf files as sample.
hopefully someone can help me!! Shy  and thanks for taking you time for helping me!
Also, sorry if this is not the correct topic Cry

EDIT;
https://www.spriters-resource.com/ds_dsi...eet/47167/
There are the cards and some more sprites dumped, but i wonder, how he dumped it? i need know that because i need inject the english cards...

Also, no replies too? ;O;

Be a little more patient; it had only been 3 hours.

From what you posted std are images and there are at least 2 different types from those samples.
SAF appears to be animation or something like that.

For time sake I only created a generator for the easier of the two types, but it can convert both types to PNG.

Download

You can drag .std or .png files on it to open them.
You can then export as PNG or STD.

Of course, I haven't actually tested this in-game, so unsure if it will actually run correctly.

Edit:
Oh, and the images can only have 256 colors. If is has any more then the image will look really gross when it's converted.
