HONESTLY THOUGH I remember when the "Crash Landed" concept was drafted up at Activision in...2011?? there we plans to reboot Crash Team Racing if Landed was successful. It's probably wishful thinking - but if the Crash trilogy actually does well this'll probably be next (because seriously - everybody's got super nostalgia for it)

I wouldn't mind though if they changed it up so the drifting system wasn't as exploitable (heck, MarioKart changed the drift system in MKWii to timing-based to stop snaking and then somehow tweaked the physics in MK8D so firehopping is no longer a thing) and added MarioKart-style shortcuts on every map (plus replace a few characters it'll be sure to lose due to licensing)

If they changed the drifting system I think that would be a deal breaker for me to be honest.

Just maybe make it so Penta isn't allowed online...

edit: just realized the UK got an actually complete (albeit OP af) character
in the US version, for some reason Penta's character data was accidentally left unfinished, and he has placeholder sounds when he gets a boost (@ 34s in this video)

also, he gets an uka-uka mask when his item portrait for that item is aku-aku. also he's balanced for some reason? with excellent turning but just OK acceleration and lousy top speed

Oh wow, never knew his stats were different in the US one (apparently the same as Polar) or his lines were unfinished (was wondering what the hell you was on about with the penguin yay 2 thing...).

Crazy. But yeah, here (and in Japan apparently) he was maxed out and basically impossible to beat and thus banned from local multiplayer. Came in damn handy beating N. Oxide's times mind...
