Need help ripping models from SSFIV 3DS
#1
Question
Hello, I'm here because I can't seem to get any help on ripping the model I want from the people on GBAtemp.

I extracted the RomFS of Super Street Fighter 4 3d edition so I could get the Chun-li model.
However... I've hit a roadblock.

All of the models(and possibly textures) are stored in a .arc format and the one unpacking/decompressing tool that works on Capcoms 3ds .arc format extracts the files but leaves them extension-less and thus unusable.

So I have 3 possible solutions.

Would it be possible to fix the files after extraction/decompression from the arc?

Is there a .arc extractor/decompressor that works on this specific format and will give me usable files after extraction/decompression?

Or my last resort could someone rip the classic Chun-Li model and textures for me?

Any help would be much appreciated! Big Grin

Noesis extracts Capcom .arc files. I'm unsure bout 3ds .arc files, but both 360 & PC .arcs are supported. You could always upload sample extracted files from an .arc file as well

Unfortunately Noesis didn't work, it just told me "The file type could not be determined".

I know it's a little excessive but here's a zip file that has all of the arc files, their extracted files(in separate folders), and the tool used to extract the files.

I wouldn't know about Ninja-Ripper + emulators, as I rarely play emulators. I looked at the files,
in "All files\CNL\CNL_cmn_v_01_01\chara\CNL\"

"CNL_01_01" is an .MRL file.
And files ending in "BM" or "HQ" are .TEX files.

I couldn't however find a method to convert them into universal formats, sorry. Hope this pints you in the right direction though.

Yeah that's as far as I've gotten too, I just want 1 low poly Chun-li model so I can attempt to import it into smash 3ds and the model in this game should hopefully be low enough.
