Ripping from MAME GDROM .chd files
#1
Well, Even though I retired from ripping, I came back to for some help on this. So, I have a MAME .chd file of the game "Ollie King". The game doesn't work in MAME, which is why I want to look into the CHD besides, of course, to also rip the models and stuff for you guys. Anyway, I uncompressed the .chd with chdman as a raw file, and I noticed that the file acts like an .iso, so I opened it in PowerISO, and all I could find was 3 empty text files, ABSTRACT.TXT, BIBILOGR.TXT, and COPYRIGH.TXT, as if there was all that was in there. It even said the file was only 0 bytes big, when its obviously much bigger than that. I later imported the raw file into Audacity (cause, well, why not?), where it had much more content, however, all I could get out of the mess of data were 2 .WAVs that mention something about a GD System, while importing the compressed CHD gets me entirely different .WAVs of short bursts of speech from the game. But the main problem is, how do you access ALL of the game's files other than the 3 TXTs? If there is any way, please let me know. Thanks.

EDIT: I figured out that the .ISO is a GD-ROM one, and I found a tutorial for the problem. If you don't mind, I will say it for others to know in case they come across something similar to this.

Step 1: use chdman to uncompress the CHD into a .bin/.cue with the syntax:
Code:
chdman extractcd -i game.chd -o game.cue
Step 2: Open the .cue file in ISOBuster. and Extract Track 03 as a RAW .bin file
Step 3: Make another .cue file with the text:
Code:
FILE "Track 03.bin" BINARY
 TRACK 03 MODE1/2352
   INDEX 01 10:00:00
Step 4: Open Track 03.bin into ISOBuster and extract everything and you're done!

However, now I have another problem, the game's files are in extensions like .512 or .1GB (with the exception of 2 .BIN files). Does anyone know about these kind of files?
I've retired from game ripping
