Deleting my own threads won't work
#1
I am trying to delete my own thread, cause I didn't know there was a more appropriate forum for it, and it comes up with a screen saying that I can't delete it. Can someone figure this out? Also, sorry about posting in the wrong forum.

You can't delete your own threads. If you posted it in the wrong place just report it and a mod can move it to the appropriate section for you.

Looks like I just made things worse then. What happened was that this thread was the original thread I made. After I found out this wasn't the right forum for my question, I recreated the thread in its appropriate forum and rewrote this to what it is right now. Couldn't a mod delete this thread to make the situation better?

No need to delete. Just report the thread in question and someone will come along to lock it. Deletion of your own threads is disabled intentionally as it would technically give members the ability to delete others' posts which we wouldn't want.

Edit:
You reported this thread. There's really no reason to close it.
