Gatete's Super Mario Bros. 3 Engine
#1
Back again guys with another thing on the works.

This time I'm developing a replica of the Super Mario Bros. 3 engine with Game Maker: Studio.

One of the notable features of the engine is that I'm using a shader to change up Mario's colours.

The engine is almost completed, I'll be sure to post the final version as soon as I finish it Wink

Your engine looks fantastic. Smile You have many more animated gifs like the above on your MFGG thread, and they are all pretty rad.

Keep up the good work. Wink

I been working hard lately to finish up all the enemies.

Next up on the list is the world map and the save system.

Ignore those green and pink lines on Mario. Those are needed for the bolt lifts to work properly.

we can't ignore them lmao, they're necessary
if you just said "they're tiny collision boxes...and I enabled them during testing, they won't be in the final product" we'd all be like

"oh okay np dude glhf"

but all the same, i'm likin the progress on these new stage elements so far. :V

Actually, I do not have plans to remove those masks due the fact they are needed to make the bolt lift move properly.
