Are zip files allowed?

i'm just wondering if zip files are okay to upload onto TTR?
i heard from a friend of mine that they aren't allowed for some reason, but i'm just looking for confirmation

Depends on how high quality the texture is, I heard if it's combined at once, the page attempts to load it, but it crashes the browser and it lags your pc to a crawl.
