Romancing SaGa 3 (SNES) - Gamesaves don't work
#1
http://fantasyanime.com/saga/rs3saves.htm

These are the saves I use. I downloaded like 3 differenct ROMs (SMC, SFC, FIG) but all of them don't accept the SRM file. The SRM has the same name as the ROM and is in the same directory. I use ZSNES 1.5 as emulator.

Can anyone get this to work?

Did you rename the ROM or the SRM?
Doofenshmirtz: This is a little bit awkward but have you seen my escape jet keys? (Perry nods) What, you have? Well that's great! So where are they? (Perry looks away) You won't tell me? Is this because you don't speak or are you just being a jerk?

Yes, I gave the SRM file the name of the ROM.

Hi Davy. I maintain that site. Just in case I went through and double-checked one of my saves with the ROM provided in my site, and the save does work so everything's good on my end. So...
  • Make sure you are using the Romancing SaGa 3 ROM provided in my site.
  • When you download one of my saves, each zip contains 1 SRM file and a ReadMe. Extract the SRM file from the zip.
  • Place the SRM file in the same folder where the Romancing SaGa 3 ROM resides. Rename the SRM file to the EXACT name of the Romancing SaGa 3 ROM (without changing its file extension).
  • If this renaming process is confusing, I show you exactly how it's done in my video tutorial for patching: https://youtu.be/7X8iTdRzLMo

Reverse that. Make a copy of the ROM and give it the name of the SRM file.

Duplicate the ROM? That's not necessary.

It's frustrating, but I tried again. Unzipped ROM/SRM are in the same directory and have the same name (file extension wasn't touched). I click on the game, zsnes pops up and I get to the title. I try to go on "Continue" but the cursor doesn't move. I click and come to new game, can switch the cursor easily between the different characters.

Never had this before.
