You guys need more help with the approval process.

Two dudes isn't enough. You reeaally need to get more because the queue is just going to keep growing. I'm not saying I'm fit for the job though. I would probably be crap at it actually

You're implying that it's easy to find people who are qualified and dedicated enough to volunteer their own free time to go through submissions. We're very aware of how short-staffed we are but it is far, far more complicated than just deciding to "get more" people to help out.

Not implying it was easy. If it was easy you guys already WOULD have more. I do believe though that there are at least one or two other people here who would be qualified though. I understand how carefully the models need to be looked over before being approved, making sure all of the normals, rigging, and all of that stuff works fine, and rendering icons for a lot of them that either don't have ones or have bad ones, and THEN being able to approve them. That stuff takes time and effort that a lot of people would get lazy with, including myself, but that workload is also too big for 2 people to keep up with.

It is most certainly too big for one person to keep up with. On Models specifically, it's really only Peardian but, as it stands, there are no other qualified members to help reduce tMR's load and that's really the most backed up site.

Who, exactly, do you suggest as a solution to this problem, Telespentry?

"You guys need more people qualified to be able to take on this huge workload correctly but I don't know anyone who can actually do it; I know I certainly can't!"

Telling us that we need to fix a problem that we already know about but don't currently have the (capable) manpower willing to donate their time and effort to fix isn't very helpful.

btw does perdian use blender? I hope so, because I could potentially write a script to generate both icons from 1 click. It's not much but it saves a couple minutes per model.

Models aren't as simple as black and white "click and button and it renders" - they have variables that cause them to be unpredictable in certain circumstances.
He uses Cinema4D.

I'd also like to add in that renders (if you try to make them look nice), takes more than just rendering it. It requires a lot of manual fine tuning and modifying to make it look nice
