Help with my sprites?
#1
Hello everyone!
I recently submitted this sprite sheet:

But it was declined >.<
I wanted to know what I should do to fix it. Is it too disorganized? Is it just plain bad?

It's supposed to be an alternative version of Link for Super Mario Maker, since I hate the sprite he has in that game. I got a lot of feedback and help on MFGG and people there seemed to like it, so I'm not so sure what to do! Help is appreciated!

Did you submit it to the right place? If it's a custom/edited sprite, it needs to go under that section, not under the game itself.

And my only gripe with it is everything looks too crammed together, but that's just me.

What was it rejected for exactly? I can't remember if I'm the one who dealt with it or not.

Yeah, I submitted it to the right place... I'll try reorganizing the sheet so it's a little less crammed! Thanks!

EDIT:
This is the PM I got:
Hi Evil Yoshi,

You're receiving this PM because I'm afraid we have rejected your sheet of "Link (Custom Modern Mario Maker Amiibo)" for "Legend of Zelda Series" under the console "Custom / Edited".

Your sheet was not accepted for the following reasons:
The sheet does not meet quality standards for the Custom / Edited section. We are always happy to see people who want to do custom work and, as a community, strive to help artists grow. This sheet does not currently meet our quality standards but we'd love to help you improve so head over to the Spriting and Pixel Art board and post your sheet there for some constructive feedback and suggestions.
Please consider asking the forum about how to make your sheet conform to true 8-bit color standards.
You're more than welcome to reply or post your sheet on the forum for advice as to what went wrong. We'd really love it if you did, because it is members such as yourself that are the very reason this website is where it is today. Without a strong community, this website would not even be a fragment of what it is.

Best of luck,
Dazz
