DSX8 Sound Rips - Legend of Korra
#1
Ok so pretty new to ripping sounds and stuff... But was able to rip the sound files from Legend of Korra (PC).

got all BGM and voices extracted. So how should it all go up, as .wav or .mp3 files? want to make sure before I upload the files.

BGM is not allowed on TSoR, so you will be uploading only the voices instead.

It can go up as .wav or .mp3, but .wav is preferred. (The MP3s must use a variable bitrate) However, since there is a size limit, you may need to split all of the voice clips into multiple archives/parts.

Ambience is perfectly allowed, yes. Any kind of sound except music is allowed on TSoR.

I'd like to add that if the files are stored as MP3 or OGG you can submit them as such, otherwise they should be ripped/converted to WAV.
MP3 and OGG are lossy so they will lose quality if you convert to them. Of course, if they're already MP3/OGG in the first place then that's their original quality, and converting them to WAV does nothing but increase file size.
You may have a fresh start any moment you choose, for this thing that we call "failure" is not the falling down, but the staying down. -Mary Pickford

yeah they're converted to .ogg from .wem.. so .ogg is fine to upload then? if so, then awesome, dont need no 15-35MB .wav files to upload for sure xD

If you can't convert WEM to WAV then yes, OGG is fine.
