Thumbs Down
I've been using TSR forever, I just recently decided to look around and see the models and textures and stuff, and the Register button :p

So, yeah the usual stuff. I have a lot of questions, like, what can I use those models for? and how do I submit my own sprites? and what are the advantages of signing up? Do i get special sprites or just other privileges?

If you can answer any of these, you get a free virtual cookie! Smile

ideally you'd want to use them for your own model projects/references when creating your own. You could also, but not limited to, use them in hacking projects i.e. Smash Bros. Brawl, or literally any other game with 3D models as long as you know how to import the rig and animations, etc.

1) make a spritesheet
2) "The Spriter's Resource" subforum < "Submissions" sub-sub forum < look for where your sprites belong. If they're custom, opt for that instead
3) make a topic
4) brave criticism
5) after some revisions, etc. it'll be approved for submission!

I moved this thread here from my phone and didn't have a chance to reply right then but I just wanted to let you know why your thread vanished. You originally posted it in Site Discussion while it definitely belongs here in New Arrivals and Departures.

That being said, welcome! Kosheh already covered your questions, for the most part, but I wanted to add a little.

First, submitting your own sprites is easy. You really only need to follow the method Kosheh outlined if you're very new to spiriting and/or want feedback before submitting to the site. If you have sheets ready to go, you can submit them directly via the site's control panel (also accessed by clicking the Submit link in the navigation bar at the top of any of the main sites. From there, choose a console and game and then just fill out the form.

As for benefits of joining, the main things you'll notice are the ability to post on the forum and to submit content to the main sites. There are a few other little perks that come along with it, like the ability to comment on the main sites and your own submitter profile once you have at least one approved submission on a site but they're kind of parts of the larger whole of submissions.
