I'm afraid there is no "CC" to give, but I'll give it a shot

You have four character sets made with what I assume is the RPG Maker VX ACE Character editor, as such there
is nothing to critique graphics-wise. Story-wise, you have posted absolutly no detail beyond the fact that the
"Game" is an RPG. Nothing else can be garnered from your post.

I'm not trying to mini-mod, but you will need a more substantial amount of data to make this thread worthwile.
I'd suggest you read this thread for the full rules regarding the Game Dev section of the forum.

Yeah, this isn't enough for a gamedev thread. You'll need to post gameplay mechanisms, things that make your game stand out from other RPG's or screenshots.

Yeah, more information would suffice in this case.

Right now the only thing I can say is that this looks like another game made in RPGmaker, while it isn't a necessarily bad thing I'd have to say it's a lot of people tend to over do games made with this. I'm sorry to say it but unless you really can pull off something that would grab our attention or do something that's fairly unique and no one has done before I don't see this going far.

That might be me on the blunt side of things but to be clear, I think if we had more information I'd be able to consider another critique. But right now I can only comment on what I see.

Characters: Besides what Sevenstitch said, we don't know much about them besides their elements. What are their goals? Motivation? Reason for forming a team and entering this tournament? Personalities?

Overworld: So essentially a grid-less Pokemon?

Battle: Why two identical enemies? Besides being an RPG, XP is a rule not a feature.

Story: Kind of a poor intro. Taking from Pokemon, we get introduced to the world and its rules before being thrown in. Here, we just get the group together for some reason.

Nope, not yet.

You have to actually start on the game, man.
Start programming things and, you know, making the game.
Post up screenshots and stuff of the actual game running, and not "these things are gonna be in it"

Post what you've /done/, not what you want to do.

Story: your right. Not only Pokemon, but most other RPGs to. I'll work on that.

Overworld: Yes gridless pokemon. If you think it SHOULD be grid based, tell me.

Characters: I'll put the character personality traits in the intro.

I see you are using rpgmaker also.
I'd say at least finish up to the first boss before posting a game.
That way you could even have people play test and get a feel for your game(without giving up too much plot)

In that case, i'll need someone to TEMPORARILLY close this thread until I make the game up to the first boss, or at least until the primary rounds of the tourney.
