Troubleshooting steam games

Hey all.

Has anyone had an issue with launching games from their steam accounts? Like for example even if you click on them they won't launch or they end up canceling out. Because I've been trying to launch Sonic CD from my steam lately and it won't start no matter how many times I try to.

I tried re-installing it but that didn't work for two shits. Any help would be appreciated.

Is it an actual Steam game, or did you add it as a Non-Steam Game? If the latter, there's every chance that it just won't work, and I can't suggest much.

If it's the actual Steam game, I've had that a couple of times with various games. Usually once I restart the PC/Steam it works. If that doesn't do it I'd recommend checking out this thread, the third post might hold the solution. You might also want to update your graphics card drivers (Steam can do this for AMD, Steam -> Update AMD Video Drivers, not sure about other brands though).

Well the game I'm trying to launch is Sonic CD so I doubt it needs that much power.

And that thread you posted is the exact same thing that is giving me problems so hopefully that will help.
