TSR Compo Vol.6 - CHOO CHOO! Here comes a steam train!

Well, I came second in the last one, but it seems -Bwar- wasn't making a thread, so someone suggested I should.

The topic of this competition is: Steampunk.

Take anything you like, a character, an object, a scene, and sprite them in a steampunk style. It can be anything, but get some steam in there!
The catch? You have to use EITHER ONE of these palettes:



Pick one of those palettes to make your sprite in, and stick to it.

Deadline is Sunday 14th, one week from now.

Question about the palettes: I understand the either or thing, but do I have to use every color in
the palette that i choose to use? Or must the entire palette be represented?

You don't have to use every colour in the palette, but you must not use any colour that isn't in the palette. If you so wanted, you could make something with just 4 colours from one of the palettes, for example.

All fine, apart from the background. You may have the background transparent if you wish, but otherwise it counts as part of the sprite, and needs to follow the palette limitations, if that's okay. (This is just to keep things simple, you understand).

Also, is it just me, or does it kind of look like it says FAT?

Pfft, nonsense. You could totally do better if you try hard enough. Besides, the point of the challenge is to improve your own skills; if it was about showing off, Gors and Meta would be kicking our asses up and down the forum.

Plus, with my work ethic, odds are I'm either going to not finish or end up totally half assing the background.

you said it yourself: the point of a challenge is not to prove yourself to be superior to someone else, but rather to test your own might and bypass your own limitations, and the ones set agaisnt you.
