PIXELART DUELS

We've come so far in the last few months! Pixelartists are visibly improving (except me) at their craft. The weekly competitions have taken off just as I expected, so now it's time for round two of spritestravaganza.

You see, way back in the old days of Pixeltendo (and some other communities do it/did it too) there used to be a hallowed tradition. Two Pixelartists would face off, trying to out sprite each-other in a mutually agreed upon theme.

The way this is going to work is on a weekly basis. Entering yourself for candidacy won't leave you exempt from the weekly challenges, or any other special events.

So here's how this is going to work: Every two weeks, two pixelartists will be chosen, or will choose eachother to face off in a duel. The restrictions are mutually agreed upon with a judge (that's me!) and then the battle starts.

Who's first? Would you like to enroll, or strike up a challenge?

I'll enroll, but I am somewhat busy lately, so my thing will have to be on a weekend.
Also I feel like this should after Meta's contest is done, so that people do not have to choose between the two in a time crunch

Like lots of pain for the maker of the competition?
SHouldn't you set the rules as that they have to agree on the date togheter and not anyone else?

Tugs is different, since we choose when we'll start the duel we're in, unlike in tugs where it's predetermined, plus the duelees get to choose the rules, and such, unlike yugs where everything was chosen for them.

i'd rather let this spawn spontaneusly rather than forcing people to duke it out. mainly because when forced to, most people simply cant really bother/seem to care/forget about it.

mean really, look at the history of """""""""duels""""""" we've had so far, and see how many of them have really went anywhere.

It's not really forced if they choose to do it. This isn't prohibiting spontaniously random ones form popping up.

We also have control over everything about the duel, save for the judge.
